Hi ladies, my DS is 8 months old and I am still feeding him at least once and often twice a night. Sometimes I try to re-settle him but he is usually quite upset when he wakes up - usually on his hands and knees crying. He can get very distressed if I just try and re-settle and I just feel awful leaving him to cry when I know that with a feed he will go back to sleep - so I always feed. Once a night is fine, but twice is quite draining and means I need to do a nappy change. I also have a lot of trouble getting back to sleep. Question, how do I know when he is hungry and when it is just for comfort? He seems to have quite decent feeds when he wakes, not just a quick sip. When will it become sufficient just to give him a cuddle and a drink of water if he wakes in the night? Thanks!
